“Prepare for the ultimate Tanzanian adventure. This 6-day journey takes you deep into the heart of East Africa’s most celebrated landscapes. From the elephant-rich forests of Tarangire to the endless horizons of the Serengeti and the prehistoric drama of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will witness the circle of life firsthand.
You will travel in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, ensuring unobstructed views of the ‘Big Five’ (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino). Whether it’s the thrill of a predator hunt or the silence of a savannah sunset, this tour offers a perfect balance of wild adventure and comfortable lodge living.
Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your private driver-guide. After a short introduction and a refreshing bottle of mineral water, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha.
Depending on your arrival time, you will have a good opportunity to explore the hotel’s lush surroundings or rest after your flight.
After a hearty breakfast, your safari adventure truly begins. We depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population.
Tarangire is famous for its majestic Baobab trees that dwarf the animals feeding beneath them. Your game drive may reveal lions, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and herds of up to 300 elephants. A delicious picnic lunch will be served at a scenic site inside the park. After a full day of exploration, we head to our lodge for the evening.
After breakfast, we depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive takes us through the cool highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of the crater floor below.
Optional Stop: You may choose to visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum (additional cost), the archaeological site where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the remains of early humans.
Upon crossing into the Serengeti, we will enjoy a game drive en route to our camp. The “Endless Plains” are home to millions of wildebeest, zebras, and the predators that follow them.
We wake up early for a sunrise game drive to catch the nocturnal predators returning from their hunts. The Serengeti (Maasai for “Endless Plain”) covers 14,763 sq km and is the stage for the Great Migration.
Depending on the season, you may see the massive herds mingling together, or you might find the resident Big Cats (Lion, Leopard, Cheetah) stalking prey in the tall grass. Our expert guide will locate the best wildlife action for you. In the late afternoon, we drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for our overnight stay on the crater rim.
Today involves an early start as we descend 600 meters onto the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “8th Wonder of the World.”
This collapsed volcano creates a natural enclosure for over 25,000 animals. It is the best place in East Africa to spot the rare Black Rhino. You will also see large prides of lions, hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and the massive bull elephants with their giant tusks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool before ascending the crater walls and driving back to Arusha.
